NK Notary Services — Policies
These policies are designed to keep appointments clear, fair, and efficient for everyone. Because NK Notary Services is a mobile business, appointment times may be affected by travel, weather, traffic, and other circumstances outside of anyone’s control. I appreciate your understanding and will always communicate changes as promptly as possible.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
Plans change - I understand. Please provide at least 2 hours' notice when possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.
If i have already begun traveling to your appointment, an applicable travel or cancellation fee may apply. If I need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I will contact you as soon as possible and you will not be charged a cancellation fee.
Travel, Weather & Safety
NK Notary Services provides mobile notary services throughout Douglas and El Paso Counties, Colorado.
Any applicable travel or additional fees will be communicated before your appointment whenever reasonably possible.
Appointments can be delayed, rescheduled, or canceled due to severe weather, emergencies or other circumstance that make travel unsafe or impractical.
Appointment Readiness
To help your appointment go smoothly, please make sure that:
• All required signers are present at the scheduled appointment time.
• Each signer has acceptable, unexpired identification when identification is required.
• Documents are complete and ready for notarization. Please do not sign documents requiring notarization before the appointment unless instructed to do so.
• Any required witnesses are available. Please confirm with me beforehand if you are unsure whether witnesses are required or whether I can assist with arranging them.
If the appointment cannot be completed because a signer, required identification, document, or required witness is unavailable, applicable travel or appointment fees may still be due.
Fees / Refunds / No-Shows
Notarial, travel and other applicable fees will be communicated before the appointment whenever reasonably possible.
A travel, cancellation, or appointment fee may apply if I have already traveled to or arrived at the appointment, the client does not appear or the appointment cannot be completed because required signers, identification, documents or witnesses are unavailable.
Notarial fees are charged only for notarial acts actually performed. Any travel, cancellation, no-show or other service fee is separate from the notarial fee.
If NK Notary Services cancels an appointment before any notarial or travel service has been provided, any applicable amount already paid will be refunded.
Unusual circumstances will be handled reasonably on a case-by-case basis.
Notary Limitations
As a Colorado Notary Public, my role is to perform authorized notarial acts and verify that the requirements for the requested notarization have been satisfied.
I am not an attorney and cannot provide legal advice, prepare legal documents, explain the legal effect of a document or recommend what type of notarization you need.
I reserve the right to refuse a notarization when I cannot satisfactorily verify identity, willingness, or awareness; when required information or parties are missing; when I reasonably suspect fraud, coercion, or unlawful activity; or when performing the notarization would violate Colorado law or notarial requirements.
